Deschutes County 4-H Sportsmen's Pentathlon - Registration

Saturday March 20th, and Sunday March 21st.

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE REGISTERING
The South Valley Bank & Trust, Deschutes County 4-H Sportsmen's Pentathlon is, to our knowledge, the first team sportsmen's challenge in the nation.

Teams consist of two sportsmen, with each competing in every event.  (You may bring a dog for the bird shoot as well, but they are not required.)  The three highest team scores, will make the overall team score.

Teams can represent any make up (two men, husband-wife, father-son, mother-daughter, two women, etc.)  Everyone will be scored the same.

Note ~ Children must be 4th grade and above to participate. 

Event Specifics
Sporting Clays - 5 stations, 20 rounds total.
Fly Fishing - Catch and Release only, scored by total inches. (Inflatable belly boat or small pontoon OK, no hard boats.)  There is ample fishing from shore.
Live Bird Shoot - 3 Chukar, 5 rounds, 15 Minutes.
3-D Archery - 5 Stations
GPS/Orienteering - Roughly 2 mile course that can be navigated with GPS and/or Map and Compass.

Pentathlon Prizes
Embroidered Jackets for all event Champions and Overall Champions.
Trophy and/or Ribbons for 1st - 5th place in each event and Overall.
Special Event prize to Event Champions.

Custom FishCraft Stillwater lake boat for Overall Championship Team.  14', welded aluminum.  $2900 Value.

Please don't forget the Banquet/Auction hosted by Brand 33 at Aspen Lakes Golf Club.  Remember this is a 4-H benefit and we need your support.  Tickets for the Banquet are sold separately, so you can purchase as many as you want.  Bring family members and enjoy and evening of good food (beef or chicken), drink and camaraderie.  Awards for the Pentathlon will be presented at the Banquet, and there will be both a silent and oral auction.
